Being outdoors is very important as it develops gross motor skills and physical development as they climb, jump, swing, scoot, run and hop. It is also important for the development of social skills as they play hide and seek, take turns on equipment or embark upon an imaginary game of their choosing.
Children of all ages need opportunities for exploration and discovery and we encourage work with gardening, growing activities and life cycles, to encourage the children to be in touch with their World.
We see our outdoor areas as an extension of our classrooms and will provide activities from indoors for children who choose to be outdoors.
